Privacy and Data Access
Our community only works because we all adhere to confidentiality, both on and off our platform. Our community relies on sworn secrecy not to publicly share the information posted here because leaking content can cause serious real world harm for our members, including doxxing.
This means we have strict rules about sharing any unnecessary private information that could potentially make a woman or a man locatable. If you’re caught sharing content on other platforms, sharing information with unapproved users, or soliciting private details like social media handles, you’re not welcome in our community.
CONFIDENTIALITY
We assume you’re here to help other women, not shame men or start crusades. That means you must operate by providing as little identifiable information as possible. Do not post phone numbers, addresses, or places of work. And you many never, ever seek to remove the anonymity of other Tea users. The beauty of Tea is that we can share openly without worrying about retaliation.
This includes:
- Sharing last names, emails, social media handles, or any other private information that can pinpoint someone’s exact location, such as photos of people wearing college sports jerseys
- Content which reveals private, non-public information about another Tea user
- Content which shares unnecessary identifying details regarding someone’s partner
- Posting pictures of or details about women, even if they are a former partner
CONSEQUENCES
Consequences for violating this rule vary because we know mistakes can happen when you’re trying to help. In some cases, we may directly edit your post to remove any identifying information and send a warning. In the most severe cases, where safety or identity is compromised, we will immediately deactivate and ban you from the platform.
ON-PLATFORM AND OFF-PLATFORM BEHAVIOR
Because Tea operates on anonymity, we do not permit any content being shared by any means outside of the platform.
This includes:
- Leaking content to non-users, such as posting screenshots on social media
- Soliciting non-user contact on another’s behalf, such as a request for a “loyalty test”
- Evading a previous ban by creating multiple accounts
CONSEQUENCES
We will immediately deactivate any user found to violate these rules, even when the offense occurred outside of Tea.
