TRENDING POSTS AND VISUAL CUES
We use specific icons to help you identify which conversations are heating up and which posts need your immediate attention.
Decoding the icons (expand)
A post is considered "trending" when it has recently received a high volume of comments or flags from the community.
- If you see a trending post without many comments, it means our algorithm has randomly selected a recent post to highlight for extra visibility.
White teacup icons indicate the total number of comments that have been left on a specific post.
Bright green lightning bolts signify a "Boosted" post, which has been prioritized to stay at the top of the feed for better visibility.
FASTER CROWDSOURCING VIA POST BOOSTS
If you need answers quickly, boosting is the most effective way to get your post in front of the right people. This feature helps you crowdsource a person's background by drawing extra eyes to your receipts.
How boosting works (expand)
Boosting a post is an exclusive feature for members on our paid Pro subscription plan.
When you boost a post, it sticks to the very top of the local feed and is added to the "swipe list" users see the moment they open the app.
To boost, you can click the purple "Boost" button at the top right of your post either immediately after creating it or by visiting the post later.
Pro members can boost their post again every 30 days to return it to the top of the feed and the swipe rotation.
This feature is designed to maximize the chances of other women seeing your post and sharing the tea they have.
RED AND GREEN FLAGS EXPLAINED
Flags are a quick way for women to share their overall vibe or experience with a man without necessarily writing a full comment.
Understanding community flags (expand)
A green flag means a user believes he is a good person to date or interact with based on her experience.
A red flag indicates that a woman may have had a negative or cautionary experience with that individual.
Women may leave flags based on firsthand knowledge, often following up with a detailed comment.
Some users may leave a flag after reading the existing captions and comments to help summarize the consensus for others.
